Nintendo DSi Shop was an online store that allowed users to download DSiWare games and applications, which were paid using a Nintendo Points Prepaid Card, and were available on Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems. Application prices follow a three-tiered pricing scheme. The service launched with the Nintendo DSi Browser, a free web browser developed by Nintendo and Opera Software. A trial campaign formerly offered 1,000 free Nintendo Points to each DSi or DSi XL that accesses the shop.

Closure Edit

On April 1, 2016, Nintendo announced plans to shut down the Nintendo DSi Shop. Nintendo Points were made unredeemable on September 30, 2016, and the entire shop will shut down completely on March 31, 2017.
